Deep Dive: Warface August Update Now Live
Back
Publisher and developer Astrum Entertainment has launched the new event, Deep Dive, in the tactical shooter Warface. The update introduces Bounty Hunt, a team-based PvP mode that combines familiar firefights with trophy collection mechanics and a high risk of losing all points earned throughout the match.
In Bounty Hunt, players must eliminate opponents and collect the skulls they drop to earn points for the team. The twist is that collected trophies are not added to the team score immediately. Instead, players have to keep them until elimination. When a character dies, half of their collected skulls drop and can be picked up by the opposing team, allowing players to turn the tide of battle at any moment. The team with the most points at the end of the match wins. Battles take place on the maps D17 Modern, Destination Modern, and Ruins.
By taking part in the event, players can earn weapons from the new Dreadfin series including the SARB-15 JAKL, Winchester 1887, upgraded Magpul FMG-9, and PGM Ultima Ratio. Four golden weapons are also available as rewards: the F90 MBR, Mossberg 590 Custom, Quarter Circle 10 SMG Custom, and Remington MSR.
Players can also collect special cards to unlock the Shark Slayer camouflage, Molotov Cocktail, and Shark Slayer Chainsaw Machete.
The public test server is also now live, giving players a chance to try out the upcoming weapon progression system. Throughout August, players can share their feedback with the community, and their input will help shape further changes to the new system.
The Deep Dive event is now live in Warface on Astrum Play and Steam.
