Astrum Entertainment to Publish MMORPG Throne and Liberty in Russia

Astrum Entertainment will become the publisher of Throne and Liberty in Russia, the CIS countries, and several other territories. The free-to-play MMORPG, created by NC’s development studio FirstSpark Games (FSG), represents a classic take on the genre. Already known to players in South Korea and a number of other regions, the project continues the legacy of NC, the creators of Lineage and Aion. The game places strong emphasis on guild-based PvP and castle sieges, where success is determined by the strength of alliances and the unity of brotherhoods.ㅤ

At the core of Throne and Liberty is a flexible character progression system built around weapon choice. By moving away from traditional class archetypes, the developers have implemented an adaptive approach in which a character’s role and available skill set depend on their equipment. This allows players to freely combine different weapon types and tailor their builds to their preferred playstyle and the demands of both PvE and PvP content.

The game’s world operates on a dynamic event schedule, featuring the appearance of the majestic flying whale, as well as large-scale world boss raids and major battles for territorial control. This creates a structured yet action-packed rhythm, allowing players to choose activities based on their goals and preferred playstyle, whether as part of a guild or solo.

Guild interaction forms the backbone of the key content: large-scale PvP battles, including castle sieges and territorial wars, are designed for organized communities. Social coordination is a crucial element for achieving success in these activities.

Character progression is supported by an extensive gear enhancement system with a variety of attribute options. A distinctive feature of the game is its dynamic weather system, including heavy rain and solar eclipses, which directly impact the course of battles and require tactical adaptation. To explore the seamless open world without zone transitions, players can transform into animals to soar through the skies or travel across the water’s surface.

The release of Throne and Liberty in Russia, the CIS, and several other territories is scheduled for 2026 on the VK Play and Astrum Play platforms.
