A family-friendly collaboration brings the mobile hit Hoby Tales together with the upcoming movie My Dog Is an Astronaut.

Publisher Astrum Entertainment and developer Nashi Igry, together with the film studio Central Partnership, have launched an in-game integration for the mobile hit Hoby Tales. Starting March 30, players will dive into an adventure story about a boy named Misha, helping him build a rocket and send the dogs Belka and Strelka into space. The storyline echoes the full-length family movie My Dog Is an Astronaut, which hits theaters on April 9 in celebration of Cosmonautics Day.

“We are thrilled about this collaboration. Integrating the movie into a popular mobile game offers a fresh way to engage the audience. I’m confident that Belka’s adventures in Hoby Tales will make watching our movie even more fun,” said Vladimir Maslov, producer of My Dog Is an Astronaut.

The story revolves around Misha, a bright boy who dreams of space and finds the dog Belka. This encounter not only shapes his destiny but also helps Belka and Strelka make a new mark in the history of space exploration.

To celebrate the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight, Hoby Tales introduced new characters — Misha, Belka, and Strelka — along with a unique location: the world’s largest spaceport, Baikonur, reimagined in the game’s magical style.

Players will help the characters prepare for their space journey by completing match-3 levels and game tasks: building a rocket, preparing the fluffy astronauts for flight, and, of course, making it all into a movie.

“Essentially, we’ve merged two worlds: the magical game universe and real-world cinema. Players meet the characters in the mobile game, while the full story, character arcs, and unexpected twists will unfold in theaters. This project also has a social aspect, blending gaming and cinema into a single family-friendly experience,” said the Hoby Tales team.

The space-themed location is already available in Hoby Tales, while the full-length movie My Dog Is an Astronaut premieres in theaters on April 9.

The game is available for download on RuStore, Google Play, AppStore, and on PC.
