The game has received significant technical improvements, updated Outskirts and Palace maps, a new Battle Pass, changes to Ranked Matches and PvE, as well as interface and weapon enhancements.

Publisher and developer Astrum Entertainment has announced the launch of the Steel Districts season in the tactical shooter Warface. In 2026, the project team made a statement: the top priority for the year is the game’s technical stability.

“This year, we aim to consistently improve the technical aspects of Warface. Work has already been done on the metrics most important to players. With the launch of the spring season, we are introducing a number of major updates that we believe will resonate with our audience.”

With the spring update, the anti-cheat system has been improved and server performance optimized to reduce latency. Game and level loading time has been shortened, server stability has increased, and connection error messages have become more informative, now including an error code and a support link. The interface has also received technical improvements: the Game Settings and Clans sections have been redesigned, along with loading screens, the Boosters panel, PvE statistics, and achievement displays.

With the start of the season, the legendary Outskirts map has returned to rotation. It has undergone major optimization: models and textures have been reworked, memory usage reduced, and performance significantly improved. In addition, due to numerous player requests, the Palace map has also returned in the Steel Districts season. It has received improvements as well — the location is now more dynamic and balanced, overly dominant positions have been removed, and fairer team interactions during matches have been established.

The spring Battle Pass offers unique rewards for completing missions and progressing through levels. These include the Seam and Metal camouflage series, weapon tokens, stickers, achievements, and an exclusive charm. The Battle Pass store features the themed Metal weapon series, including the HArms CQR, Kel-Tec KSG, Honey Badger, and McMillan CS5.

In the PvE season, players can earn Crowns for completing missions and special operations, as well as obtain valuable permanent items. The rewards include the Welding series, featuring the FN Evolys, Panzer Arms BP-12, PP-2011 Kedr-Para, Sabatti STR, Makarov pistol, and S&W Survival Tanto knife, along with part boxes, skins, and knives from previous seasons.

Additionally, players can receive themed rewards in Ranked Matches: the Brigadier camouflage for the Mateba Autorevolver, a kunai knife, the Brigadier gloves, stickers, achievements, and parts for upgrading mods. A regular Ranked contract has been added, which rewards players with a loot box containing experience points, parts, and items from previous seasons.

The prestige season features themed achievements, boosters, and four golden weapon versions: the M16A3 Custom, Marlin 1894 Custom, PPSh-41 Modern, and FN Creedmoor.

Coming soon: a new agent Eagle Owl, the Browning Safari rifle, a special March 8 holiday contract featuring the AK-15 Custom in the Flower camouflage, and the DE Viking pistol.

The new season content is available on VK.Play, Steam and Astrum Play.
